Our application process

Important information: Lancaster University International Study Centre’s last student intake was January 2023. There will be no further intakes at the International Study Centre after January 2023. We are no longer accepting applications.

We’ve put together a useful step-by-step guide on our admissions process, so you can get the most out of your application. We want you to be fully prepared from the moment you begin the application form to when you arrive in Lancaster.

1. Apply online
Our online application form is easy to navigate. You can take as long as you need to complete it, just save your progress and come back later – but remember to save enough time to plan for your visa, which can take up to several weeks.

2. Chat with your advisor
Your personal Student Enrolment Advisor will be in contact within 48 hours by phone and will continue to support you throughout the entire process.

3. Receive an offer letter
We’ll send you an offer letter if your application is successful. We can then discuss your next steps and explain the conditions of your offer as well as discussing a payment plan for your fees.

4. Confirm your offer
By confirming your offer and securing your place as soon as possible you’ll be sure you have enough time to properly organise your accommodation, visas and travel arrangements.

5. Pay your fees
Pay your confirmation payment and return a signed acceptance form to us to confirm your offer. You can find out more about paying your fees here.

6. Receive your CAS
Your friendly Student Enrolment Advisor will then be able to issue your Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS). After you receive this you’ll be able to start applying for your visa.

7. Access visas and accommodation support
After confirming your place with us, you can benefit from free visa and accommodation guidance from your Student Enrolment Advisor. We can even recommend you a local free of charge visa service for even more support.

8. Get ready to arrive
Once your visa is arranged, you can start reading your pre-departure pack which is full of useful advice on your UK arrival. We’ll also send you an induction pack so you can plan for all the fun events happening in Lancaster once you arrive.

Your Student Enrolment Advisor will be with you right until the end of the admissions process and can even help to arrange airport transfers to the International Study Centre. We’re so excited to see you on campus.
