Lancaster University’s Health Innovation One building rated ‘Excellent’ for sustainability

The Health Innovation One building at Lancaster University has achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating for sustainability in its design and construction.

What is BREEAM?

BREEAM is the world leading sustainability assessment method for buildings and infrastructure, by assessing a building’s environmental, social and economic sustainability performance.

The Health Innovation One building

Completed in June 2020, the building has since been used by the National Health Service to deliver COVID-19 vaccinations to the local community as well as becoming home to the Faculty of Health and Medicine at the University.

International Study Centre students studying the International Foundation Year in Life Sciences or the Pre-Masters Programme in Engineering, Computing, Mathematics and Science and are looking to progress to a degree related to Health and Medicine can expect to make use of the new buildings' facilities upon progression.
