Over 15,000 students from across the UK took part in this year’s Times Higher Education (THE) Student Experience Survey, and ranked Lancaster as one of the UK’s top 25 universities.

Positioned 21 out of 122 universities, Lancaster performed well in all aspects considered and were ranked particularly highly for accommodation, security, facilities and student social life.

The University’s recent investment in improving student experience resulted in climbing 10 places overall and an impressive overall ranking; joint first for exceptional library facilities after a multi-million pound refurbishment.

Director of Library Services Peter Maggs said: "A good library that is effective and supports teaching, learning and research, and offers a really innovative learning space, is something people see as central to the University."
