Lancaster University cements its top ten position in the Guardian University League Table 2018.
The University of Lancaster is ranked 9th in the Guardian University League Table 2018. The fourth consecutive year in the Guardian’s top ten, Lancaster has once again secured its position as one of the UK’s leading universities.
The Guardian League Table ranks each university according to eight aspects of student life. This includes criteria such as student-staff ratio, course satisfaction and graduate career prospects.
Lancaster University also scored highly in the Guardian’s 2018 subject tables, with several disciplines placed in the top ten.
Top-ranked subjects include:
- Accounting and Finance – ranked 2nd in the UK
- Social Work; Mechanical Engineering – 3rd
- Physics; Geography; Environmental Studies; History – 5th
- Business; Management; Marketing; Criminology – 6th
- Drama and Dance – 7th
- Sociology; Media and Film Studies – 8th
- Chemical Engineering 9th
Adding to this success, Lancaster was ranked 9th overall in The Complete University Guide 2018 – a position it has held for the past three years. The 2018 Guide placed thirteen Lancaster subjects in the top ten, including Accounting and Finance, Linguistics, and Politics.
