New Pre-Masters Programme entry points

Two international students work on a laptop on campus at Lancaster University

Lancaster University International Study Centre’s popular Pre-Masters Programme continues to provide more opportunities for students looking to study a postgraduate degree at Lancaster. Currently available in two pathways, students now have a choice of entry points and requirements to suit their needs.

Fast track to success

Alongside the current 3-term Pre-Masters Programme available for students with an IELTS score of 5.5, those with a score of 6.0 can opt to take a fast-track option to complete the programme in just two terms.

Both entry points of the programme offer sixteen hours of contact with our expert staff, as well as twenty-four hours of self-study per week, so students are able to fully understand the course material.

Students will be able to join the fast-track 2-term programme from January 2020. The programme will be available in the following pathways:

  • Business, Law and Social Sciences
  • Engineering, Computing, Mathematics and Science

Language support

The International Study Centre is also launching a new English for Pre-Masters programme for students who already have an IELTS score of 5.0 and wish to join the 3-term Pre-Masters Programme. The English for Pre-Masters will begin in September, allowing students to begin their Pre-Masters Programme in January.
