At Lancaster, you can choose from a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees for progression. You can choose your degree from our programme options below - with six International Foundation Years routes and two for the Pre-Masters Programme.
There are two routes of the Pre-Masters Programme available for progression to a variety of postgraduate degrees at Lancaster University, click the relevant link below to view progression degrees for that pathway:
When you are accepted onto the International Foundation Year, you will receive a conditional offer for your chosen degree. The tables below list the degree programmes associated with each foundation route:
You will be asked to select three degree choices during your first term at the International Study Centre from the list below. You will receive a conditional offer for your chosen degree. This offer will be made unconditional on successful completion of the course and on achieving the required progression grades.
We will support you in making appropriate degree choices and submitting your application to the university, including advice on completion of your personal statement. An interview or aptitude test may be required as part of the application process for some courses.
Degree progression routes and entry requirements for progression are subject to change. Subject-specific progression requirements apply. Please ask your advisor for more information.
Please note – some degree programmes also require a minimum progression grade in certain modules (e.g. Maths, Physics, Chemistry) of between 60% and 80%, these can be confirmed when speaking to your agent or student enrolment advisor. Students choosing an undergraduate degree from the Accounting and Finance Department are not guaranteed a conditional offer due to limited spaces and can only select one of these degrees as part of their three choices. If a conditional offer is not received for a selected Accounting and Finance degree, offers will still be made for the remaining two degree choices, and you will also have the opportunity to reapply later in the year if you achieve the required progression criteria. Degrees that belong to the Accounting and Finance department are listed below in the prior to the Business and Management Studies progression degree list.
Due to high demand and limited space, progression to selected other degree courses is also not guaranteed. Students are advised therefore to have at least one degree with a guaranteed offer in their three choices. The following degree courses also do not have a guaranteed offer:
Financial Mathematics (MSci), Financial Mathematics (Industry) (BSc), Computer Science (with Industrial Experience) (MSci), Computer Science (study abroad) (BSc), Accounting, Finance and Mathematics (BSc), Accounting, Finance and Mathematics (Industry) (BSc), International Business Management (America) (BBA), International Business Management (Mexico) (BBA), International Business Management (France) (BBA), International Business Management (Germany) (BBA), International Business Management (Italy) (BBA), International Business Management (Spain) (BBA), Business Administration (BBA), Business Administration (Study Abroad) (BBA), Finance & Economics (Industry) (BSc).
When selecting your three degree choices, certain degrees are not available for guaranteed progression. Because of this, students should only select one of the below degrees as a choice. You can choose your other two options from any of the remaining degrees, with a maximum of one from the additional non-guaranteed progression degrees listed above. Please only choose one of the following:
